What we eat on a daily basis definitely affects our health and vitality for living our enthusiastic life, or lack of it, as we pursue our purposes in life.
As Jeff Rediger says in his book “Cured”:
For the most part I dropped sugar. I didn’t realise how addicted I was to it, and the initial steps were difficult. I dropped processed foods, also initially difficult. Forty pounds melted off my frame without any other lifestyle changes. Now when I’m eating what I think about is nutritional density. Is what I’m putting into my body loaded with nutrients.”
For healing to take place in the body there are many factors at work, Diet changes, massive reduction in stress, a changed outlook on life and ones future.
However, Jeff has one more very interesting twist in the tale of health.
“When we experience feelings of love and connection our brains release a cocktail of hormones and chemicals…….and beyond helping us to make and deepen relationships it has health benefits…. (Some of these chemicals that get released) are known to be a kind of anti-stress tonic counteracting the effects of Fight or Flight and stress hormones. It’s also anti-inflammatory and parasympathetic (rest digest and healing reaction) in its effects.”
So please make a special effort to put warm, kind communication out there to people you meet this week and see the difference for yourself, and don’t forget about being warm and kind to yourself too.
Tips
- Decide to be more positive in your communications to self and others.
- Fully acknowledge any work done by anyone on your behalf.
- Buy and eat nutritiously dense foods.
