The Condition Behind The Condition!

family taking a walkMost days we tend to just exist going from one set of circumstances to another. We fire fight other people’s opinions and we certainly fire fight our own evaluations and our constant reactions to the words and actions of those around us. Oftentimes this leads to unwanted stress, to being careful, frightful and holding back.

However, when all the noise and distraction finally die down you are left with just you and you still are not settled or content, one needs to take responsibility for oneself.

Part of handling yourself has to do with recognising who you really are and what is your basic purpose. Simply put, when life dishes up a dose of confusion you need to reset the engine room by defining who you really are and what your basic purpose is.

And the reason this is important to do sometimes, is because we can end up constantly having thoughts and counter thoughts which physically restimulate the sympathetic nervous system – fight or flight. When we exercise or go for a walk or read a book we are getting to that place where these things are possible

Tips:

  1. Get a notepad and do this exercise:
  2. Write down who you really are, without all the frills and bows. Then write down why you do what you do in life and pull out your basic purpose which defines you as an individual.
  3. Exercise at the same time each day. When we exercise our attention is pulled away from the internal and external noise and onto the exercise so do the exercise and be aware that you are doing it.
  4. Come to the Get Back Health Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic Chiropractic clinic this week and get your spine adjusted so your nervous system is connected to your body’s functions.
