My Spinology Adventure

John KeaneMy Spinology adventure began on the 8th January 2016 at the European Spinology Tutorium College in Valancia, Spain.

It was a daunting prospect for me but the director of the college Enrique Borreda and the technical instructor Marcio Soriano, made me feel comfortable. The class was full of professionals from different health related professions and they were all characters and good fun to be around The instructors had a very professional approach to the studies. We got instructed from 9.00am until 2.00pm, then a 2 hour lunch break and back for 4.00pm until 8.00pm. It was very tough going. By 8.00pm I was ready for a beer, food and football.

I learnt from the start that spinology handles the whole person, the regular adjusting of the spinal column freeing the nervous system, allowing the wisdom of the body to express itself fully. I learned that doing this process regularly improves the outlook, confidence and health of the person, Not just handling an ache or discomfort. Spinal maintenance was a new concept for me. Of course we studied osteology, the study of the human bones, myology the study of the muscles, the nervous system, the endocrine system, the study of glands and the way hormones run the body and much more.

But also there was the philosophy of Spinology, which goes into how body wisdom operates to achieve harmony within the body’s structures. There were lots of confusions and I wasn’t sure if I could make it from where I was. I am really glad I stuck with it. Spain is a hot country and it was a bonus to walk in the park after breakfast each morning, as I went to the college to study. The park is in a river bed, that has been dried out and looks great.

Yours in health
