Many of us from time to time aggressively overeat.
If we ask ourselves honestly, “Do I want to eat right to promote good health”, 99% of us say yes. The problem arises from our own innate (some natural response or attribute we are born with or have naturally), sense of rightness. Everyone wants to be right
So when we do a wrong action, we tend to make ourselves right by continuing the wrong action. And so, it is with eating.
Certain foods are better at suppressing appetite than others. such as protein rich foods and healthy fats. These include lean meats, avocados, beans, nuts, and cheese. High fibre foods such as whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables keep you feeling fuller longer.
Salt came into use as a preservative. It preserves your food, and you cannot easily digest it. Salt is an addictive drug. We use it as a stimulant to beat our adrenals into releasing adrenalin (Too much release of adrenalin can lead to anxiety, headaches, changes in your heart rate and blood pressure. But for sure on the positive side, it makes your brain more alert and raises your blood sugar levels to give you energy).
However, overuse of salt can lead to adrenal exhaustion. The adrenals are vital to the natural healing mechanisms of your body. Normally we should get all the salt we need from our vegetables. Your body is 80% alkaline and 20% acid. A fresh salad every other day will help to promote that 80% alkaline part of you. The summer is upon us so let’s eat salads too.
Tips:
- Eat a salad every 3 days for the summer months.
- Cut down on salt by 90% and see how your taste comes back for vegetables.
- Eat fibre and cut down on snacks.
- Come to get back Health this week and get your nervous system realigned as this will help your resolve to make better decisions about your food intake.
