In her book “not about being Good” The Scottish Buddahist Nun says:
“Becoming integrated means growing up, learning to be more adult becoming more clear headed in relation to yourself. It means being able to follow things through, and in particular it means learning that your actions have an effect upon the world”.
But what if we are somewhat broken in our spirit or mind or body. Then the above paragraph, are just so many words, a nice idea but beyond us.
How do you find the space to be able to create space?
In the book she gives an exercise:
1) sit quietly. then bring to mind something mean or unkind you have done to self or others. Now reflect how this makes you feel physically and how it makes you feel about yourself/feelings/emotions.
2) Now bring to mind something kind or generous (no matter how small) that you have done recently.
How does that make you feel physically and how does that make you feel about yourself?
You should notice that this second kind action or deed you remember gives you a sense of wellbeing and a sense of grounding no matter how small. Well, that’s you creating space and if you continue to do positive good deeds and be aware as you do them, you will go from strength to strength.
You can’t always get it right. You can’t always get acknowledged or be seen. But one very important person is always watching; YOU.
From there you can relish the birth of new ideas, your ideas and move on up to a point of creation.
And part of this is releasing longstanding habits of behaviour and creating space for new habits to grow.
Tips:
1) Read the book “Not About Being Good” and see how to start change so you have power in your life,
2) If you do get or have a physical difficulty, act fast to nullify it. And continue to help your body until full recovery is achieved. Sometimes it takes a bit of work, medical, alternative etc.
3) Allow yourself time to breathe and be yourself, we are all powerful in different areas so let’s use our power to help ourselves and others.
4) Come to the get back health clinic this week and get your spine and nervous system realigned and adjusted and release your inner power.
