Eating and Stress

Salad with applesWhy do most of us eat too much each day?  While there is the constant advertising and this mental bombardment that can turn us into food addicts, there is also stress.

Stress releases the hormone cortisol and this chemical once released continually in our bloodstream increases appetite.

Studies have shown that stress can lead to binge eating and weight gain. This in turn leads to more stress and anxiety on the part of the individual involved.

Your nervous system controls the healthy functioning of your body and when you make a decision to get your spine realigned that gives you some space to handle the stress.

Tips:

  1. Get more exercise.
  2. Eat a big salad for your main meal once a week
  3. Come to Get Back Health Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic and get your spine adjusted this week and feel the difference.
  4. Take a 15 minute walk during your lunch break and switch off from work and life.
