Eat Your Way To Better Health

Plant based vegetablesA plant-based diet, which includes fruits, vegetables, legumes (various types of beans, like kidney beans, lima beans, black beans, peas, lentils, etc.) and whole grains (grains that contain all three parts of the kernel: the bran, the germ, and the endosperm), offers numerous health benefits. Along with reducing or eliminating animal products, this type of diet improves heart health, reduces the risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes and certain cancers.

Further a mainly plant based diet reduces inflammation, helps the gut and overall wellbeing.

You need to look at fresh organic fruits and vegetables and see what has high vitamin and nutrient content. For one thing, look to see if the colours of these fruits and veg are appealing to you or vibrant in their texture. A little bit of background work will give you the data on nutrition and vitamin content.

If you are a meat eater keep eating meat or fish but cut down on the portions.

Read the book, Eat to Live Plan: The end of Diabetes by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, and get help with this plant-based idea.

Tips:

1) Get a copy of Dr. Fuhrman’s book and make up your own mind.

2) Make some effort to eat more fruits and veg for 2 weeks and see if that helps your overall wellness.

3) Come to the Get Back Health clinic this week and get your spine adjusted and get your body moving towards better wellness and health.
