Meet Dr. Patrick Ryder

Simple and Sensible Chiropractic

After sustaining a hip injury playing football when he was 16, Dr. Patrick Ryder was helped by chiropractic treatment. From that point forward, it was clear to him what he wanted to do with his life.

“It just made sense,” says Dr. Patrick. “The simplicity of the chiropractic model and message really resonated with me.”

Dublin Chiropractor, Dr. Patrick Ryder

Dr. Patrick Ryder

Dr. Patrick attended the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in the United Kingdom. Although he’s from an Irish family, his parents raised him in London. As soon as he graduated, he headed to Dublin, knowing that he wanted to work in Ireland.

“My favorite part of chiropractic school was getting to the end result,” says Dr. Patrick. “I really enjoyed getting to put into practice all the theory I read in the books, and caring for the patients.”

From Infants to Seniors

After graduation, Dr. Patrick came straight to Dublin to work. He really enjoys working with expectant mothers and children, but he likes to say “I see all ages and all problems” because he has a broad range of experience with:

  • pregnant women
  • pediatrics
  • athletes
  • sports injuries
  • work-related injuries
  • stress-related injuries
  • seniors

He’s been with Get Back Health Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic for over three years and has seen a huge variety of conditions and patients in that time.

Healthy Living By Example

Dr. Patrick enjoys cooking, staying fit and living a healthy lifestyle. He recommends patients live as he does, by:

  • eating well
  • exercising well
  • listening to their body
  • resting when necessary

“As a chiropractor I tend to focus on overall health and the physical mechanics of the body,” says Dr. Patrick. “People come in with pain and I treat them, but also educate them that pain is the last sign of dysfunction.” Dr. Patrick teaches that our modern lifestyles, full of stress and stressors in our environment, is opposed to the natural design of the spine and it can’t cope with that.

He teaches patients to make healthy changes which support spinal health and promote general good health. The most fulfilling part of chiropractic for him is getting to be a part of changing lives and making people feel great again. “I love to see a person achieve a goal they haven’t been able to achieve in the past because of bad health,” says Dr. Patrick.

“The main thing,” he says, “is that people know they are in good hands.”
